Add Office Staff

Windows Account

Add account on both computers. Make user a member of Users, Power Users and confidential.

On computer with files (currently near the boiler) make sure the user has access to the Ash Co-op directory.

Add email account on server through CPanel

Add account to the office@ash.coop forwarding group.

Add to both email lists.

Set up Thunderbird for them on the computer they will normally use. (See below for details).

Put Firefox and Thunderbird pinned to taskbar and get rid of IE

Put link on desktop to Ash Co-op folder.

Incoming:

server: mail.ash.coop
port: 143
security: STARTTLS
username: name@ash.coop (the full email address is the username, not just the name)
auth: normal password

Outgoing:

server: mail.ash.coop
port: 25
security: STARTTLS
username: name@ash.coop (the full email address is the username, not just the name)
auth: normal password

Double check the usernames for both incoming and outgoing - thunderbird seems to drop the email address part of the username.
