So what is this wiki thing?

Well, it's an easy way to collect information that can be edited by anyone (well anyone in the co-op). It's very easy to add new pages and add information you want to. Wikipedia has page with more about wikis in general.

How do I edit stuff

It's the same underlying software as wikipedia. So look there. There's a lot of different help, but to help start you off here are a few particularly useful pages:
