Office Computers

The office has two computers for the workers to use, one of which contains all the files.

Third Computer

Members often need to use a computer during the day, so we should get a third computer for them to do their work (and interrupt the office staff less).

Office Server

Having a small, quiet, low power office server for keeping the files on would have the following advantages

• less power used when on overnight (for offsite backup)
• more reliable (provided 2 disks are used in RAID 1 configuration)
• remote access via ssh would be possible

Plans - use ubuntu server edition, 2 disks in raid array ... Some options for buying include

• dell servers 1 and 2
• tranquil pc limited t2e 330 atom (and you can get a wall mount)

At the same time it would be good to tidy the cables and maybe stick the server and router in a little cabinet (thus making the data more secure).
